Unfortunately, many early filers are seeing delays this year. Tax Topic 152 just means your return is being processed and you're eligible for a refund. It doesn't indicate anything wrong, but it also doesn't tell you when you'll get your money. Have you checked your tax transcript on the IRS website? That often gives more information than the WMR tool.

I was in exactly the same boat - filed with TaxSlayer on 2/10, accepted 2/11, and got stuck on processing for almost 5 weeks. I finally tried using https://taxr.ai to analyze my transcript once I could access it. It explained that my return had a standard review code that wasn't visible on WMR. The tool predicted my deposit date accurately to the day. Might be worth checking once you can get into your transcript.

Is that site actually legit? I've never heard of it and I'm always wary of giving tax info to random websites.

Totally get the concern! It doesn't ask for personal info - you just upload your transcript PDF or screenshot and it analyzes the codes. I was skeptical too but it helped me understand what was happening with my return when the IRS phone line was impossible to get through on.

Check if you claimed EIC or ACTC (Additional Child Tax Credit). Those credits trigger automatic delays because of the PATH Act. The IRS legally can't issue refunds with those credits until mid-February, and then there's still processing time on top of that.

I had this exact issue. Filed 2/9, accepted 2/10, stuck on processing forever. I finally got through to the IRS using Claimyr (https://claimyr.com). They connected me to an agent in about 15 minutes when I'd been trying for days on my own. The agent confirmed my return was just in normal processing and there were no issues - got my deposit a week later. Worth the fee to stop stressing about my move.

I'm a tax preparer and we're seeing TONS of delays this year, especially with TaxSlayer and other similar services. The IRS is overwhelmed with early filers. If your return is straightforward, you should see movement within 21 business days from acceptance (which would be around March 14th). If it goes beyond that, then you should start making calls.

Tax topic 152 is actually a good sign! It means your return is being processed normally. The IRS is just moving slower than usual this year. My brother filed same day as you and just got his deposit yesterday, so yours might be coming soon!
