Path Act Delay: Exact timeline for transcript updates and refund releases after Feb 15th
Been filing taxes for over a decade and finally figured out why nothing moves before Feb 15th if your on PATH Act hold. No transcript updates, no WMR changes, nothing moves until after the 15th - its literally the law. Here's what I've learned about the timeline: Transcripts start updating Feb 21st around 3am, prepaid cards get deposits Feb 21st around 5pm central, and WMR updates Feb 22nd.

You're absolutely correct about the PATH Act timing. It was implemented to prevent fraud related to certain tax credits. The February 15th date is set in stone - the IRS legally cannot issue certain refunds before then, specifically those claiming EITC or ACTC. After the 15th, the process starts moving again with the timeline you've outlined.
