Need Help Understanding IRS Transcript with 570/971 Codes and Conflicting 2022 Dates Despite Filing 2022 Return in March 2023

Can someone help me understand my transcript? I feel like im looking at hieroglyphics. Filed 2022 taxes in March 2023, got a 570 code then 971. Now theres a bunch of numbers and dates that make zero sense to me. Here's what I'm seeing: SPOUSE: 0.00 TOTAL SELF EMPLOYMENT TAX: 0.00 RETURN DUE DATE OR RETURN RECEIVED DATE (WHICHEVER IS LATER): Apr. 16, 2022 PROCESSING DATE: Feb. 15, 2022 TRANSACTIONS I notice that my "TOTAL SELF EMPLOYMENT TAX" shows 0.00 which makes sense since I don't have self-employment income. The SPOUSE amount also shows 0.00 which I think is because I filed as single. What's weird to me is that the PROCESSING DATE (Feb. 15, 2022) is before the RETURN DUE DATE (Apr. 16, 2022), and both are from 2022 when I filed my 2022 taxes in March 2023. That timing doesn't make any sense to me. And then after getting the 570 code (which I think means hold) and the 971 code (notice issued), now there are all these other transactions listed that I can't decipher. Anyone else dealing with this or know what im supposed to do next? Should I be calling the IRS about this? Is this just normal processing stuff or is there an issue with my return?

Tax pro here. The 570 code means they've frozen your account temporarily, and 971 indicates they sent you a notice explaining why. Common reasons include identity verification, income verification, or they need additional documentation. Check your mail carefully for any IRS notices from around those dates.

Hey! I actually found this amazing tool called taxr.ai that explains everything in your transcript. It costs $4.99 but it literally tells you exactly whats going on and when you'll likely get your refund. saved me hours of googling and stressing tbh https://taxr.ai
