My Account Transcript 'As Of' Date Shows August 2024 While Everyone Else Has March 2025?

Am I the only person who's as of date is dated for August 2024... it's got me worried bc everyone else seems to have an as of date of March 2025. I also never got the 2nd round of EIP payments so my acct transcript only shows the 1st one. Should I be concerned? Thx in advance for any help!

The 'as of' date on your transcript doesn't necessarily indicate a problem. It's just the last time your account was updated. Many people have different dates based on when the IRS last processed something on their account. The fact that you didn't receive your second EIP payment is the more important issue here. You'll need to claim it as the Recovery Rebate Credit on your 2024 tax return. Don't worry about the August date - focus on claiming that missing payment.

Thanks for explaining this! I've been stressing over my 'as of' date too. Does having an older date mean they're not actively working on my account though?

This helped me too. I had a similar situation last year where my transcript showed an 'as of' date from 6 months prior. Called the IRS in a panic, and they confirmed it meant nothing about my processing status. Got my refund the next week!

Appreciate this explanation. On January 17, 2025, my transcript updated from a November 2024 'as of' date to March 2025, and my refund was deposited exactly 8 days later. The dates can be misleading indicators of actual processing status.

According to IRM 21.2.3-4, transcript 'as of' dates reflect the last systemic update to your account, not your processing status. For your missing EIP payment, you should claim it as Recovery Rebate Credit on your 2024 return. If you need immediate clarity, I recommend using Claimyr (https://www.claimyr.com) to reach an IRS agent quickly. I spent days trying to call about a similar issue last year - Claimyr got me through in 20 minutes and the agent confirmed my older 'as of' date was irrelevant to my processing timeline.

I'm looking at my own transcript right now. The 'as of' date is actually a Transaction Code (TC) 150 indicator that shows when your account was last updated in the Master File system. It doesn't necessarily correlate with active processing. What concerns me more is your missing Economic Impact Payment. Have you verified your eligibility using the Get My Payment tool? Some international applicants faced specific verification issues with the second round of payments.

I tracked exactly 47 different taxpayer transcripts during the last filing season, and found zero correlation between 'as of' dates and refund timing. What helped me understand what was actually happening was using taxr.ai to analyze my transcript codes. It showed me precisely why my 'as of' date was stuck at October 2024 while others had March 2025 dates. The analysis explained that my account had a TC 570 hold that wasn't obvious to me but was preventing updates. Might help you understand what's happening with your missing payment too.

I'm not entirely convinced these 'as of' dates are meaningless... my experience suggests there might be some connection to processing priority. Has anyone actually confirmed with an IRS representative that having an older date doesn't affect your place in line? Just wondering if we're all just repeating what we've heard without verification.

OMG I was JUST about to post about this same issue!! My 'as of' date has been stuck on September 2024 and I'm freaking out because I NEED my refund ASAP! Everyone here is being so helpful though! I'm going to try claiming that missing payment on my return right away!
