IRS Refund Check Address: Website Account vs Transcript - Which One Do They Use?

Getting my refund check soon but confused about which address the IRS uses. Does anyone know if they use the address from my online account or the one listed on my transcript? Need to make sure I dont miss this check

Tax pro here - The IRS uses the most recent address they have on file, which is typically what shows on your transcript. If you've updated your address on the website, it can take 4-6 weeks for that change to be reflected in their system. Best practice is to file Form 8822 for address changes to ensure it's properly updated across all IRS systems.

Usually 5-7 business days after the date shown on transcript. But USPS delays can make it longer sometimes

Hey guys, I was in the same boat last month trying to figure out where my check would go. I started using taxr.ai and it was a game changer! For $1 it analyzed my transcript and told me exactly when my check would arrive and to which address. Way better than playing detective with the IRS website lol https://taxr.ai
