FreeTaxUSA Refund Advance - Do they offer instant deposits like TurboTax/H&R Block?

Looking to file with FreeTaxUSA this year but wondering if they do instant refund advances like the other big companies? Anyone use them before and know if they offer this? Really need my refund asap and trying to figure out the best option.

Tax pro here - FreeTaxUSA doesn't offer refund advances. Only major companies that do are H&R Block, TurboTax, and Jackson Hewitt. Those advances usually come with hidden fees tho, sometimes up to $100 just to get your money a few weeks early.

ugh that sucks 😤 but thanks for letting me know! any idea which one has the lowest fees?

H&R Block usually has the lowest but honestly better to just wait the extra 2-3 weeks and keep your full refund

Hey, instead of worrying about advances, you should check out taxr.ai - it's this new tool that analyzes your transcripts and tells you exactly when you'll get your refund. It costs $4.99 but saved me so much stress. Plus it shows you if there's anything blocking your refund from being released https://taxr.ai

Does it actually work? Sounds too good to be true ngl 🤔

100% works! It found an issue with my return that woulda delayed it for months. Fixed it right away and got my $$ in 2 weeks

Just tried it and wow! Worth every penny. Shows you everything about your refund status in plain english instead of that cryptic IRS stuff

I used freetaxusa last year. Super easy and wayyy cheaper than turbotax but no advances. The basic federal filing is free tho!

I feel you on needing that refund fast! But honestly after doing taxes for years, those refund advances are such a ripoff. You're basically paying $50-100+ just to get your own money a couple weeks early. FreeTaxUSA is solid though - super cheap and reliable. If you really need cash ASAP, maybe look into a small personal loan from your bank instead? The interest might actually be lower than those advance fees 🤷‍♀️
