Filed 2/23, Got 570 Code Then 971 - No Notices/Verification Required?
Filed my taxes in February and got accepted right away. For 3 weeks my transcripts showed n/a then updated to code 570. Now showing 971 code but theres no notifications or verification requirements showing up in my account. My tax filing message dissapeared too. Anyone else experiencing this?

Tax expert here. The 570 code means they've frozen your account temporarily for review. The 971 indicates a notice is being generated and will be mailed to you. Even if you don't see it online yet, expect something in your mailbox within 2-3 weeks. Its pretty common this year with all the backlog.

Usually takes 4-6 weeks from the 971 date, but could be faster if its just a verification issue.

Check your mail everyday! I had the same thing happen and got a verification letter about a week after the 971 showed up. Didnt see anything online either.

The system is broken af this year. My sister had the exact same thing happen but ended up getting her refund randomly last week without ever getting a notice 🤷♀️

Your account transcript probably needs manual review. Happened to me and took about 8 weeks total but finally got my $$$. Just gotta be patient unfortunately
