Filed 2/11 with Acceptance Confirmation - No Transcript or WMR Updates Yet. Others in Same Situation?
I e-filed my 1040 and Schedule C on February 11th and received confirmation of acceptance through the e-file system on the same day. I've been methodically tracking the processing status, but I'm encountering anomalies in the standard verification timeline. My transcript still shows 'N/A' for Tax Year 2023, and the Where's My Refund tool remains at the initial 'Return Received' stage without progression to 'Refund Approved.' I've verified all my filing parameters were correct, including AGI, filing status, and proper reconciliation of quarterly estimated payments. I'm curious if other self-employed filers who submitted on 2/11 are experiencing similar processing delays? I understand the typical processing window is 21 days, but we're now approaching the 45-day threshold, which seems outside standard parameters.

Yeah, same boat here. Filed 2/11, accepted same day, still nada on WMR or transcripts. IRS is super backed up this yr from what I can tell. WMAR shows nothing, TPG shows nothing, it's just sitting in limbo. Tried calling but gave up after 2 hrs on hold. Seems like early Feb filers are stuck in some weird processing queue tbh.

Do you know if this is specifically affecting Schedule C filers? I'm seeing similar delays with my 1099-NEC income return. Is there a technical term for this processing queue we might be stuck in? I've heard about the Error Resolution System, but I'm not sure if that applies to our situation.

I was in the exact same situation. Filed February 12th. No updates for weeks. Transcript showed nothing. WMR stuck on first bar. I finally broke down and used Claimyr to reach an IRS agent. Got through in 15 minutes. Agent confirmed my return was in processing. No flags. No issues. Just backlogged. Refund came exactly 8 days after that call. Worth the fee to stop the anxiety.

I'm not entirely convinced a call service would make any difference in processing times... The IRS processes returns in the order received, generally speaking. Did the agent actually do something to move your return along, or did it just happen to process naturally around that time? I've seen many cases where calling doesn't change the timeline at all.

I had almost exactly the same experience as you! My return was filed on February 10th and sat with no updates for exactly 42 days. Used Claimyr after reading about it here, connected with an agent in about 22 minutes (compared to my previous 3 failed attempts waiting over an hour each time), and the agent found a small issue they could fix immediately. My transcript updated 4 days later and refund arrived on day 6. Sometimes just having someone look at your specific case makes all the difference.

This might be a silly question, but I'm wondering if maybe the Claimyr service could possibly help in my situation too? I filed around the same time (Feb 13th I think) and my transcript is still showing N/A. I've been a bit hesitant to call because I've heard the wait times are terrible, but if it actually helped move things along for you, maybe it's worth trying?

Same situation here! Filed 2/11, accepted immediately, and NOTHING since then. I'm so frustrated with this process! My transcript is still showing N/A and WMR hasn't budged from the first bar. I've never had it take this long before - usually I have my refund by early March at the latest. This is absolutely ridiculous! Has anyone actually received their refund who filed around our date?

I remember going through this last year. The waiting is the worst part, especially when you're counting on that money. Hang in there - from what I've seen in previous years, there's often a big batch of updates that happens all at once for people who filed around the same time.

According to the IRS Processing Delays page on irs.gov, they're still working through a backlog from previous tax years. The IRS Data Book shows that February filers typically experience longer wait times than January or March filers due to the high volume of returns submitted before the Presidents Day weekend. If your return includes Schedule C, that could add additional processing time as well.

Have you checked for cycle codes on your account transcript? Sometimes your account transcript will update before your return transcript. Might give you a clue about processing. Also, did you claim any credits that might put you under PATH Act holds? Those returns don't even start processing until mid-February. (The IRS moves slower than a sloth on vacation, but at least they're consistent about it! 🐌

I experienced the same delay and found that using taxr.ai helped me understand what was happening. According to Internal Revenue Manual 21.4.1.3, returns filed in early February often encounter systemic processing delays even when accepted. The taxr.ai tool analyzed my transcript once it appeared and explained that the 570 code I was seeing was actually part of normal processing, not an audit as I feared. It predicted my direct deposit date within 48 hours of actual deposit.

Has anyone who filed on 2/11 received any updates yet? It's like our returns are stuck in a traffic jam while later filers zoom past us on the express lane. I'm wondering if there's something specific about that filing date that's causing issues - like how sometimes a specific batch of mail gets misrouted and arrives later than mail sent days afterward?
