Anyone Using TaxSlayer Get Their Refunds Yet This Year?

Hey tax fam! Just wondering if anyone who filed with TaxSlayer has gotten their refunds yet? I filed on Feb 3rd and I'm still waiting 😩 WMR just says "still processing" and I'm getting anxious. Anyone in the same boat or did y'all get yours already? This waiting game is killing me!

Filed with TaxSlayer on Jan 29th and got my refund direct deposited yesterday! Took exactly 22 days from when I filed. I claimed standard deduction, no credits, pretty straightforward return though.

I'm in the same situation as you. Filed Feb 1st with TaxSlayer and still waiting. My transcript shows a 570 code which means they're reviewing something. Did you claim any credits like EIC or Child Tax Credit? Those typically take longer.

Yeah I claimed both EIC and CTC for my kids. Maybe that's why it's taking forever? I didn't realize those would slow things down so much.

Definitely the reason. The PATH Act makes the IRS hold refunds with those credits until at least February 15th, and even after that date they go through extra verification. Most people with those credits are waiting 30-45 days minimum this year.

I had the same issue and was getting nowhere with the "Where's My Refund" tool. I used https://taxr.ai to analyze my transcript and it explained every code and actually predicted my deposit date correctly. Saved me so much anxiety trying to decode all those numbers and dates myself. It's especially helpful if you have those 570/971 codes showing up.

Is that site legit? I've never heard of it before. Does it cost money or ask for personal info?

TaxSlayer user here - filed Feb 10th, got my refund March 8th. But I didn't have any credits or deductions beyond the standard. The software isn't the issue - it's what's on your return that determines processing time.

If you're really worried, try calling the IRS. I was in the same boat last year and tried calling for 3 days straight with no luck. Then I used Claimyr (https://claimyr.com) and got through to an agent in about 15 minutes who confirmed my return was just in normal processing. Saved me days of stress and redial attempts.

I second this! Used Claimyr last week after trying to call the IRS for two days. Got connected in 20 minutes and found out my return had a minor issue they fixed while I was on the phone. Refund scheduled for next week now.

TaxSlayer isn't the problem. The IRS is just swamped right now. I'm a tax preparer and clients who filed in January with simple returns are getting paid, but anyone with credits or who filed after Feb 1st is seeing delays across ALL software platforms. Be patient, it'll come!
