AS OF date changed after IRS rep call - TPP hold since October verification

My as of date just updated to February 10th this morning after talking to an IRS rep yesterday. The rep mentioned my return was being held by TPP even though I verified back in October. They said theyd send something to the TPP team. Anyone know if the as of date changing after talking to a rep is normal?

Tax expert here - the 'as of' date changing after speaking with a rep is actually pretty common. It usually means they accessed your account or made some kind of update. However, it doesn't necessarily mean your refund is coming soon. The TPP (Taxpayer Protection Program) hold can be stubborn even after verification.

The as of date is basically IRS speak for 'we looked at your account' lol. Sometimes it means progress, sometimes it means nothing at all
