EDD Payment Delay: How to Handle Notification and Get Help?

Hey everyone, I just got a notification from EDD about an issue with my claim. It looks like there's a payment delay. Has anyone else experienced this recently? I'm not sure if it's because of pending certification or missing documents. Any advice on how to handle this?

Ugh, I'm in the same boat. Got a payment delay notification last week. It's so frustrating! Have you tried calling them? I've been trying for days but can't get through.

Calling is a nightmare 😫 I spent 3 hours on hold yesterday and then got disconnected. This system is broken!

Pro tip: call right when they open. I got through after only 30 mins of waiting that way.

Thanks for the tip! I'll try that tomorrow morning. Fingers crossed 🤞

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video explaining it: https://youtu.be/Ize0EkN4HDI

Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit? Has anyone else tried it?

$20 just to talk to someone? That's ridiculous. The system is so broken 🤦‍♂️

I know it sounds sketchy, but I swear it worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imho.

Can you give more details about how it works? Do they guarantee you'll get through?

Sure! You choose the department you need to reach, pay the fee, and they start calling. When an agent picks up, your phone rings and you're connected. No guarantee, but they keep trying until they get through.

Here's what you need to do to resolve payment delays: 1. Check your UI Online account for any pending tasks or notifications 2. Make sure all your certifications are up to date 3. Double-check that you've submitted all required documents 4. If everything looks good on your end, it's probably an issue on EDD's side 5. Try to contact them through UI Online messaging system 6. If that doesn't work, you'll need to call them (good luck with that 🙄) Remember, patience is key. Sometimes these delays resolve themselves in a few days. If it goes on for more than a week, then definitely try to get in touch with a rep.

This is really helpful, thanks! I'll go through this checklist and see if I can figure out what's causing the delay.

Great advice! I'd add: keep a record of all your attempts to contact them. It might come in handy if things escalate.

Payment delays are the worst 😡 I had one last month and it turned out to be a glitch in their system. Keep pestering them until it's fixed!

How long did it take for them to fix the glitch? I'm going on week 3 of delays...

It took about 2 weeks for me. But I was calling every day. Don't give up!

Has anyone tried reaching out to EDD on social media? I've heard some people have had luck getting responses that way.

I tried Twitter once. They just sent me a generic response with a link to their FAQ 🙄

Facebook worked for me! Got a response within a day and they helped resolve my issue.
