SDI payments stopped after accidental form submission, PFL transfer issues - Help!

I messed up big time with my SDI claim after giving birth. I accidentally submitted a form saying my SDI period was over, and now my payments have stopped. I've tried to fix it online but no luck. Now I'm owed money for SDI and my claim should've been transferred to PFL automatically, but that hasn't happened either. Has anyone else dealt with this? Any advice on how to get this sorted out?

I found a way to solve accidental SDI claim closure, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D6Tt0HnqYWs

Ugh, that sucks! The EDD system is such a nightmare. I had a similar issue with my claim last year. Here's what worked for me: 1. Call EDD first thing in the morning, like right when they open. 2. Be super nice to the rep, even if you're frustrated. 3. Ask them to submit a request to correct the form error. 4. Follow up every few days if you don't see any changes. 5. For the PFL transfer, make sure you emphasize that it should've been automatic. Good luck! The system is broken, but persistence pays off.

This is solid advice! I'd add: keep a log of every call you make, including the rep's name and what they told you. It'll help if you need to escalate later.

Calling first thing in the morning? lol good luck with that. I've tried for WEEKS and can never get through. 🤡

Yeah, it can be tough to get through. I had to redial like 50 times, but it worked eventually. Just gotta be persistent!

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit? Has anyone else tried it?

$20 just to talk to someone? That's ridiculous. The system is so broken 🤮

I know it sounds sketchy, but I swear it worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo.

I've used it too. It's legit. Expensive, yeah, but when you're desperate to get your money, sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.

Have you tried reaching out to your local assembly member's office? They can sometimes help push things through faster with EDD.

2 months?! That's insane. Have you had any luck getting through to anyone?

Nope, not yet. I'm gonna try that claimyr thing someone mentioned above. At this point, I'm desperate enough to try anything.

Pro tip: If you can't get through on the phone, try faxing your request. Sounds old school, but sometimes it works when everything else fails.

What year is it, 1995? 🤣 But for real, if it works, it works. Do you have a fax number to share?

Lol I know right? Here's the number I used: 1-855-027-5337. Make sure to include your claim number and contact info!

This is why we need a complete overhaul of the system. It's not just you, OP. Thousands of new parents are struggling with this every year. We should be supporting families, not making their lives harder!

Preach! 🙌 Maybe we should start a petition or something. This is getting ridiculous.
