EDD Application submitted 4 weeks ago, still processing and no payment. Help!

Hey everyone, I'm really frustrated. I submitted my application almost a month ago and it's still processing. What's worse is that I haven't received any payment yet. Has anyone else experienced this? Any advice on what I should do next?

Ugh, I feel your pain. I'm in the same boat. Applied back in August and still nothing. The system is so broken 😤

August?! That's insane. Have you tried calling them?

Yeah, but it's impossible to get through. I've been trying for weeks 😫

Pro tip: call right when they open. I got through after only 30 minutes on hold that way.

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Check out this video for more info: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

$20? That's kinda steep for something that should be free...

I get the skepticism, but it seriously saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo

Can confirm, I used it last week and finally got my issue resolved!

Have you checked your online account? Sometimes there are pending issues that you need to address before they can process your claim.

This is ridiculous. We need to start bombarding our representatives with complaints. The system is clearly not working for the people who need it most.

100% agree. Anyone know how to organize something like that?

We could start a petition on Change.org and share it on social media. Might get some attention.

Here's what worked for me: 1. Double-check all your info is correct online 2. Upload any missing documents ASAP 3. Try calling first thing in the morning 4. If you can't get through, use one of those paid services to get on the line 5. Be persistent and don't give up! Hang in there, OP. I know it's tough, but you'll get through this!

Has anyone had luck contacting their state rep? I've heard that can sometimes speed things up.

I tried that last month. They sent an inquiry but I haven't heard anything back yet. Worth a shot tho!
