LPT: Keep a detailed log of every call you make, who you talk to, and what they tell you. It'll save you a lot of headaches if you need to follow up or if there's any discrepancies later.
Dont forget to take care of yourself during this process. Dealing with bureaucracy can be exhausting. Make sure to take breaks and ask for help if you need it!

I've been dealing with this for 2 months now. My coverage lapsed because I couldn't get through to renew. Now I'm in this weird limbo where I'm not covered but also can't apply as a new applicant. The system is beyond broken.
That's awful! Have you tried reaching out to your local assemblymember's office? Sometimes they can help push things through.
