VA disability payments on FAFSA - not showing up correctly with new automatic system?

I'm helping my son with his FAFSA for 2025-2026 and I'm completely confused about how to report VA disability payments with this new automatic tax data transfer system. In previous years, we manually entered just our taxable income (box 3 from tax return) which correctly excluded my $37,800 in annual VA disability payments. But now the system seems to be automatically pulling our gross income (box 1) which would incorrectly include those funds. My understanding is that VA disability is NOT supposed to count toward "income" for financial aid calculations, but I can't figure out where to adjust this in the new system. Has anyone dealt with this yet? Did the rules change for VA disability and FAFSA? I'm worried my son's aid package will be drastically reduced if we can't get this fixed.

They didn't give me specific codes, but they said to use the exact phrase "Veterans Affairs Disability Benefits" in the description field, and to make sure you have your award letter ready to upload. GUYS I JUST FOUND IT! After you submit the FAFSA, go back in through the "Make FAFSA Corrections" link, then go to Student Financial Information (or Parent Financial Information depending on whose VA benefits they are). There's a little link at the bottom that says "Special Circumstances" that I completely missed before. Click that, then select "Income Type Exclusion" and THAT'S where you can enter VA disability to be excluded. Hope this helps someone else!
