FAFSA form shows 'processed successfully' but college says it was rejected - what's happening?

I'm pulling my hair out trying to figure out what's going on with my daughter's FAFSA. We originally submitted her application back in January, but in March we had to go back and make corrections (mainly signature issues). The FAFSA website showed 'processed successfully' and we thought everything was fine. Then yesterday, we got this email from her university saying they received notification from FAFSA that her form was REJECTED for being incomplete! But when I log into studentaid.gov, it STILL says 'processed successfully' with a confirmation number and everything. I'm completely confused - could the college have received the original incomplete submission and not the corrected one from March? Has anyone dealt with this disconnect between what FAFSA shows and what the school says they received? We're getting nervous because her financial aid package depends on this and orientation is just weeks away.

omg the EXACT same thing happened with my son's fafsa!! the website said everything was fine but then his school emailed saying it was incomplete. turns out there was some glitch with the parent signature part. we had to call the school directly to sort it out.

the financial aid advisor at the school could see that we had fixed it but for some reason their system wasn't updating. she had to manually override something on their end. definitely call them!!

This is whY FAFSA SUCKS!! Same garbage happened to me TWICE this year. Website says one thing, school says another. No one knows what's going on. How are we supposed to make college decisions when we can't even tell if our financial aid forms went through?? The whole system is broken. UPDATE: I just got an email from the financial aid office! They said they DID receive the original submission before our March corrections. They're telling us to just wait because they should receive the corrected submission soon. Apparently, there's a processing delay of 10-14 business days between when FAFSA shows "processed successfully" and when the school actually receives the information.
