ESD website showing wrong last day worked - need direct phone number to fix my claim

Has anyone else had issues with the ESD website showing the WRONG last day worked?? Mine says I stopped working April 3rd when I actually worked until May 17th. This is affecting my benefit calculation! I've tried calling the main number like 20 times but get a message saying 'they're experiencing technical difficulties' and to try again later. It's been THREE DAYS of this nonsense. Is there a direct number or extension I can use to reach an actual human being who can fix my claim information? My bills are piling up and I can't afford to wait weeks for them to maybe notice this error. Help!!

same thing happened to me!! the website is absolutely terrible. i spent TWO WEEKS trying to get thru on the main line before i finally got someone. keep trying the 8am-12pm window, thats when i finally got through

Two WEEKS?? I can't wait that long! Did they fix your issue when you finally got through?

The correct last day worked is extremely important because it affects your base year calculation and potentially your benefit amount. This is definitely something you need to get fixed ASAP. Unfortunately, ESD's phone system has been overwhelmed since they upgraded their systems in January 2025. You have a few options: 1. Keep calling the main line (800-318-6022) right when they open at 8am 2. Send a secure message through your eServices account specifically about the incorrect last day worked 3. Visit a WorkSource office in person - they can sometimes help expedite critical claim issues Make sure you have documentation of your actual last day worked (final paystub, termination letter, etc.) ready when you do connect with someone.

Thanks for the advice! I've already tried sending a secure message 4 days ago with no response. I'll try the WorkSource office tomorrow. Do they take walk-ins or do I need an appointment?

Most WorkSource offices do take walk-ins, but I'd recommend checking their website or calling ahead to confirm. Wait times can be long, so try to arrive early. Bring your ID, Social Security card, and any documentation showing your correct last day of work.

THE ESD SYSTEM IS COMPLETELY BROKEN!!! I had the exact same problem last month but it was showing I worked 3 weeks LONGER than I actually did. Took me FOREVER to get someone on the phone. When I finally did get through the guy told me they're having database syncing issues with employer reporting systems. apparently its been a TOTAL MESS since the new software rollout!!!!

Ugh that's infuriating! Did they eventually fix your dates?

yeah but it took almost 2 weeks after i talked to someone. they had to send it to some special team that handles data corrections. my payments were delayed the whole time. total nightmare.

I had a similar issue back in February when my claim showed the wrong employer entirely. After days of failed calling attempts, I discovered a service called Claimyr (claimyr.com) that helps you get through to ESD faster. They have this system that holds your place in line and calls you when an agent is available. Saved me hours of redial frustration. They have a video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/7DieNd3C7zQ?si=26TzE_zGms-DODN3 Once I got through to an agent, they were able to fix my employer information in about 15 minutes. For something like your incorrect last day worked, they should be able to update it while you're on the phone.

does that actually work? seems sketchy to me

It worked for me and several people in my department who got laid off together. Not sketchy at all - they just help you get through the phone system. The actual claim stuff is still handled directly with ESD agents.

To directly address your issue: The last day worked error is a known problem in the ESD system right now. It's occurring because of an integration issue between the employer reporting portal and the claims database. Here's what you need to do: 1. Document the error - take screenshots of what's showing in your account 2. Gather proof of your actual last day (final paystub, separation letter, etc.) 3. Call ESD at 800-318-6022 (yes, I know it's difficult to get through) 4. Ask specifically for a "Date Correction Specialist" when you reach an agent 5. Request they create a "Data Integrity Ticket" The specialist can often fix this while you're on the phone. If they can't, the ticket ensures it goes to the right department. These errors are fixable but must be addressed before your claim is finalized or you could lose benefits you're entitled to. Also, while you're waiting for this to be resolved, make sure you continue filing your weekly claims on time, even with the error in place.

Thank you!! This is really helpful. I didn't know to ask for a "Date Correction Specialist" - I'll definitely do that. And good reminder about still filing weekly claims. I was honestly thinking of waiting until this got fixed before filing.

When my cousin had this problem last year, it was because his employer reported the last day he was paid for rather than his actual last day worked. The employer had to submit a correction. You might want to contact your HR department too, just to cover all bases. Sometimes the error is coming from their side, not ESD's.

I had a similar thing happen but with my WAGES being wrong not the dates. What worked for me was going to WorkSource in person. The lady there couldn't fix it herself but she had a direct line to ESD and got me connected to someone who could help within 20 minutes. Way better than trying to call yourself. Just bring ID and all your documentation about the last day worked.

That's good to know! I found a WorkSource office about 30 minutes from me - gonna head there tomorrow morning when they open. Hopefully they can help me too!

I work for a different state agency but interact with ESD sometimes. They launched a new claims system in January that's been having all kinds of data migration issues. Your problem is happening to a lot of people right now. I know it's frustrating but they are working on fixing these types of issues. If you can't get through on the phone, definitely try WorkSource. I've heard good things about their ability to help with claim issues.
