If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

Just remember that if Washington ESD denies your claim for any reason, you have the right to appeal. Don't give up if the initial decision isn't in your favor.

How long do you have to file an appeal?

0 coins

You have 30 days from the date of the determination letter to file an appeal. Don't wait until the last minute.

One more tip - if you do any part-time or gig work while collecting unemployment, make sure you report it on your weekly claim. Washington ESD can reduce your benefits but you won't lose them entirely if you're honest about the income.

0 coins

That's good to know. I might pick up some freelance work if my claim gets approved.

Just remember that you still need to be actively searching for full-time work even if you're doing some part-time work on the side.

Good luck with your claim! Being fired doesn't automatically disqualify you from unemployment benefits. Washington ESD looks at the specific circumstances of each case.

Thanks everyone for all the helpful information. I feel much better about my chances now.

One last tip - if you do get denied initially, you can appeal the decision. Don't give up if the first determination doesn't go your way.

How long do you have to file an appeal if needed?

You have 30 days from the date of the determination letter to file an appeal with Washington ESD.

Been through this twice unfortunately. First time I got denied because I was fired for violating safety rules. Second time got approved because I was terminated for not meeting sales targets. Washington ESD really does look at the specific circumstances.

Exactly. Misconduct has to be willful and work-related. Just not being good at your job isn't usually considered misconduct.

This distinction is really important. Wish more people understood it before panicking about their eligibility.

File online ASAP through SecureAccess Washington. The sooner you get your claim in the system, the sooner the process can start. Even if it takes weeks to resolve, at least the clock is ticking.

Will do. Thanks for all the advice everyone. Feeling much more hopeful about this situation.

Good luck with your claim! Keep us posted on how it goes.

Glad we could help! The Washington ESD system is confusing but once you understand the basic formula it makes more sense.

0 coins

Yeah, these kinds of forums are so much better than trying to navigate government websites alone.

Bottom line - expect roughly 50% of your gross weekly wages up to the $999 maximum. File as soon as you're eligible and don't wait around because benefits can't be backdated very far.

0 coins

Thanks everyone for all the info! This has been really helpful in understanding what to expect.

0 coins

Good luck with your claim if you end up filing! The process can be frustrating but the benefits definitely help bridge the gap while job searching.

One more thing - make sure you understand the difference between gross and net income when calculating. Washington ESD uses your gross wages for benefit calculations, not what you took home after taxes and deductions.

0 coins

Good point. So if I was taking home $3200/month after taxes but my gross was $4300, they'd use the $4300 figure?

0 coins

Exactly. They use the gross amount reported by your employer on your wage records.
