If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

If anyone else is in the same boat as OP, just remember that Washington ESD is required to process claims within a reasonable timeframe. If it's been more than 6 weeks without any communication, that's when you should definitely try to get in touch with them.

And if you need to reach them, seriously consider using Claimyr to avoid the phone line nightmare. Made such a difference for me when I needed to follow up on my claim.

0 coins

Good to know there's a timeline for when to be concerned. I'll give it a few more weeks before worrying too much.

0 coins

hang in there OP, the waiting sucks but once it goes through you'll be glad you stuck with it. washington esd benefits are pretty decent compared to some other states

0 coins

Thanks for the encouragement! I'm trying to stay positive about the whole process.

0 coins

That's the right mindset. The initial wait is tough but the system does work for most people eventually.

Just want to add that if you're filing as a part-time worker, make sure to report ALL your employers during the base period. I initially forgot about a short-term job and it caused delays in processing my claim.

0 coins

Good point. I had a brief stint at a third job during that time period. Should I include that even though it was only for a few weeks?

0 coins

Yes, include everything. It's better to over-report than miss something and have to correct it later.

0 coins

Bottom line: part-time workers can and do qualify for unemployment benefits in Washington. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. The system is there to help people who lose work, regardless of how many hours they were working.

Thanks everyone for all the helpful info. I feel much more confident about filing my claim now.

Good luck with your application! Don't hesitate to reach out if you run into any issues.

If you're worried about making mistakes, the Washington ESD customer service staff are actually pretty helpful when you can reach them. They'd rather help you get it right the first time than deal with problems later.

0 coins

That's reassuring. I was worried they'd be impatient with basic questions.

0 coins

Not at all. They understand that most people filing for unemployment are dealing with a stressful situation and are new to the process.

Last piece of advice - don't wait to apply. Your claim is effective from the date you file, not from when you lost your job. So even if you're unsure about something, it's better to start the process and clarify details later than to wait too long.

0 coins

Perfect timing then since I just lost my job yesterday. I'll start the application tonight.

0 coins

Exactly! You're on the right track. Good luck with everything!

The bottom line is file ASAP. I've never heard of anyone regretting filing too early, but I've heard plenty of stories about people regretting waiting. Washington ESD's system rewards people who follow the rules and file promptly.

0 coins

Alright, I'm convinced! Heading to the Washington ESD website right now to get this started. Thanks everyone for the advice.

0 coins

Good luck! The process can be frustrating but it's worth it when those payments start coming in.

0 coins

Update us on how it goes! Always curious to hear about people's experiences with the current system.

0 coins

Will do! I'll post an update once I get through the initial filing process.

The benefit amount is just one piece of the puzzle. You also need to think about how long you can collect benefits - usually 26 weeks but it depends on the unemployment rate and other factors.

0 coins

Good point! I'm hoping to find work before I need the full 26 weeks anyway.

0 coins

That's the right attitude! Unemployment should be a bridge while you're job searching, not a long-term plan.

0 coins

just remember you have to be actively looking for work to keep collecting. the job search requirements are no joke and they do check up on people

0 coins

Yeah I've heard they're strict about that. Better to start job searching right away even if you're not sure about your benefit amount yet.

0 coins

exactly! and keep good records of everything you do for job searching
