No UI payment for 5 weeks - what to do?

Has anyone else not received their unemployment payment for over a month? I'm getting really worried. It's been 5 weeks since my last payment and I don't know what to do. Bills are piling up and I can't get through to anyone on the phone. Any advice would be appreciated!

I found a way to solve unemployment payment delays, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ii0rS7dLJvU

Ugh, I'm in the same boat. It's been 6 weeks for me. The system is so broken rn 😤

6 weeks?! That's insane. Have you tried reaching out to your local representative?

Yeah, I emailed them last week. Still waiting for a response. This whole situation is a joke 🤡

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/Rdqa1gKtxuE

Sounds sketchy. Is it legit?

Totally get the skepticism, but yeah its legit. I was desperate and took a chance. Got through in about 2 hours.

I know, it sucks. But for me it was worth it to finally get some answers and get my payments moving again.

Have you checked your online account? Sometimes there's a hold or issue that you need to address.

This happened to me last year. Turns out they needed additional verification documents. Check your mail and your online portal for any notices!

Thanks, I'll double check everything. It's just so frustrating when you can't get a straight answer from anyone 😫

Here's what I've learned from dealing with unemployment for way too long: 1. Keep certifying every week, even if you're not getting paid. 2. Document everything - dates you certified, any messages you receive, etc. 3. Check your spam folder for emails from unemployment office. 4. Try calling right when they open or just before they close. 5. Reach out to your state representative or senator's office. 6. Join Facebook groups for unemployment in your state - sometimes they have insider tips. 7. If all else fails, consider filing an appeal. Hang in there, OP. The system is a mess but don't give up!

Great advice! I'd add: make sure your address is up to date. I missed important mail cuz I moved.

I didn't even know that was an option. Do they take walk-ins?

This is why we need UBI. The current system is a joke and leaves people hanging when they need help the most. 🤬
