Where are my 2/15 filers at? Accepted on 2/15 but still no deposit

Where my 2/15 people at? I filed sometime in January but wasn't accepted until 2/15. Has anyone got their deposit yet?? I'm checking WMR like every hour and nothing has changed in days. Should I be worried or is this normal? I'm really counting on this refund for my textbooks this semester.

I think I'm in a similar situation? I was accepted on 2/14 and still nothing showing up for me. I've been checking the Where's My Refund tool almost daily, but it's still just showing the first bar. I'm starting to get a bit worried because I thought it would be faster than this. Maybe there's some sort of delay affecting everyone who filed around mid-February?

Have you checked your tax transcript online? Sometimes that updates before WMR does. And does your WMR show any specific message or just the processing bar?

I had this exact issue last year with the processing delay. The IRS systems were completely overwhelmed during peak filing season. What was really frustrating was that the cycle dates on my transcript didn't match what was happening in real time! The technical term for what you're experiencing is probably a processing queue delay.

Last year my return was accepted on February 17th and I didn't get my deposit until March 15th. The year before that was even worse - accepted February 10th and didn't get my refund until April 1st. I've learned to always file super early or just expect delays during peak season.

But isn't it strange that some people who filed after us are already getting their refunds? Doesn't the IRS process returns in the order they're received? Or is there some secret formula that determines which returns get processed first?

I FINALLY got through to the IRS after trying for THREE DAYS! They confirmed my return is still processing but there are no issues flagged. I'm so relieved! I used Claimyr (https://claimyr.com) after wasting hours on hold and getting disconnected. They got me connected to an actual human at the IRS in about 15 minutes! The agent told me there's a processing backlog for returns accepted between 2/12-2/18 and to just keep checking WMR. Such a weight off my shoulders to know nothing is wrong!

Is that service really worth paying for though? Couldn't you just keep calling the IRS yourself until you get through? I'm trying to be careful with spending while waiting for my refund, so I'm hesitant to pay for something I could potentially do myself with enough persistence.

How much does this Claimyr thing cost? And does it actually guarantee you'll get through to someone? Because at this point I'm pulling my hair out trying to figure out what's happening with my refund!

I've researched Claimyr before. It uses a callback system that holds your place in the IRS queue. The service doesn't access your personal tax information - it just connects you to the IRS phone system without you having to stay on hold. Many practitioners use similar services to avoid the hold times.

OMG so glad I'm not the only one! Been checking WMR like crazy since 2/15. Nothing yet for me either. Super frustrating bc my roommate filed AFTER me and already got his refund last week?! Wtf IRS. I'm in the same boat needing $ for school stuff. Thx for starting this thread - at least I know I'm not alone in this mess.

Check your transcript immediately. Don't waste time with WMR. I was in the same situation and my transcript showed a hold code that WMR didn't display. Use taxr.ai to decode your transcript (https://taxr.ai) - it showed me exactly why my refund was delayed and when to expect it. My deposit hit exactly when it predicted.

Have you checked if you're affected by any of these common delay factors? • Did you claim Earned Income Credit or Child Tax Credit? • Did you have marketplace health insurance? • Is your address different from last year? • Did you have any unemployment income? These can all cause additional review time even if there are no issues with your return.

This list is spot on. I've gone through this rodeo for years, and marketplace insurance credits alone added 2 weeks to my processing time compared to when I didn't have them. My brother-in-law's return was processed in 8 days while mine took 23 days, and the only difference was that I had Form 8962 for Premium Tax Credit reconciliation.

I was in your exact situation last year. Filed in January, accepted 2/16, and then nothing for weeks. I finally called the tax advocate service instead of the main IRS line and got through much faster. They told me my return was just in a processing queue and nothing was wrong. I got my deposit about 10 days after that call. Sometimes just knowing nothing is wrong helps with the anxiety of waiting.

IRS is behind schedule. Normal processing is 21 days. Many February filers seeing delays. Path Act returns take longer. Check your transcript for codes. Call if it's been more than 21 days. Many 2/15 filers getting deposits this week.

I filed on January 29th, was accepted on February 15th at 10:43am, and received my deposit exactly 22 days later on March 9th at 4:27am. My refund was $3,742 and included EIC. The IRS says 9 out of 10 refunds are issued within 21 days, but that's business days, not calendar days. So you're still within the normal timeframe!

Here's how to check your actual status: Step 1: Go to IRS.gov and access your tax transcript Step 2: Look for the account transcript for 2023 Step 3: Check for transaction codes like 570 (refund hold) or 971 (notice issued) Step 4: Look for code 846 which means refund issued If you see code 570 without 846, your refund is on hold. If you see 971, expect a letter. If you see 846, it shows the direct deposit date.

Has anyone from the 2/15 group received a 60-day review letter? I just got one yesterday and I'm freaking out because I need this money. The letter doesn't even explain what they're reviewing!
