WMR shows different status for spouse - One N/A transcript, other blank with March 20 date
Filed my taxes joint with spouse on Feb 12th and got accepted Feb 15th. WMR just updated with different statuses for each of us. One transcript shows N/A while the other is blank but has an as of date of March 20th. Before this it just said processing for both of us. Anyone seen this before?

This is actually pretty common with MFJ returns. The primary taxpayer (first person listed) usually gets the transcript updates while the secondary may show N/A. The blank transcript with March 20th date suggests they're actively processing your return. Most MFJ returns this season are taking 21-30 days for processing unless there are verification holds.

•thanks for explaining! do you know if the march 20th date means anything specific?

•The as of date typically updates weekly during processing. It's not a guarantee of when you'll get your refund, just shows the system is working on it 👍

Hey everyone! Instead of playing detective with WMR and transcripts, I've been using taxr.ai to analyze my transcripts. It costs $1 but gives you the exact timeline and explains any holds. Way better than guessing! https://taxr.ai

•Does it actually work? Seems too good to be true 🤔

•100% works! It showed me exactly why my refund was delayed (missing w2) and when it would be resolved. Saved me hours of stress

Mine did this last year. Took about 6 weeks total to get the refund. The different transcript statuses freaked me out too but it worked out
