IRS Transcript Shows Feb 10 Processing Date With April 15 Refund Dates - When Will My $11,554 Actually Deposit?
Just checked my transcript and noticed a 2-10 date. Does anyone know if this is my actual deposit date or just a processing date? First time checking transcripts and I'm confused about all these dates. I'm looking at my Account Transcript from the IRS for tax period Dec. 31, 2024. It shows a PROCESSING DATE of Feb. 11, 2025, and I'm trying to figure out if that means my refund will be deposited then. The transcript shows: ACCOUNT BALANCE: -$12,554.00 ACCRUED INTEREST: $0.00 AS OF: Feb. 11, 2025 ACCRUED PENALTY: $0.00 AS OF: Feb. 11, 2025 ACCOUNT BALANCE PLUS ACCRUALS: -$12,554.00 Our information shows: FILING STATUS: Married Filing Joint ADJUSTED GROSS INCOME: $36,305.00 TAXABLE INCOME: $7,105.00 TAX PER RETURN: $0.00 RETURN DUE DATE OR RETURN RECEIVED DATE: Apr. 16, 2025 PROCESSING DATE: Feb. 11, 2025 The TRANSACTIONS section confuses me the most: CODE | EXPLANATION OF TRANSACTION | CYCLE | DATE | AMOUNT 150 | Tax return filed | 20250405 | 02-11-2025 | $0.00 30221-421-26155-5 766 | Credit to your account | 04-16-2025 | -$5,921.00 761 | Earned income credit | 04-16-2025 | -$7,633.00 I'm especially confused about those 04-16-2025 dates. Does that mean I won't get my refund until April? Or is the 02-11-2025 date my deposit date? We're really counting on this money soon and I'm trying to understand when it will actually hit our account.

I've been checking WMR every day like a clown 🤡 and getting nowhere. Finally broke down and tried taxr.ai and it actually explained everything - turns out that 2/10 date is just when they finished processing, not when im getting paid. The actual deposit should hit 2-3 days after that. Worth the few bucks just to stop obsessing tbh

Tax transcripts can be pretty confusing to read! Based on your question about the 2/10 date - just seeing a date on your transcript doesn't necessarily mean thats when you'll get your refund. The IRS uses various cycle codes and processing dates that don't always translate directly to deposit dates. To get a really clear picture of your exact deposit timeline and any potential delays, I'd recommend checking out taxr.ai - it's super helpful for breaking down all the transcript codes and dates. I just used it myself and it gave me way more clarity than trying to decode everything manually.

Tax pro here - the date you're seeing (2-10) is your cycle date. It's not necessarily your deposit date. The actual DDD (direct deposit date) will show up as an 846 code on your transcript. Keep checking for that 846 code - that's your money day! 💰

•omg thank you! where exactly do i look for the 846 code?

•It'll be on the account transcript, usually at the bottom once it posts. You'll see '846 - refund issued' with a date next to it

Hey! Instead of trying to decode all these dates yourself, you should try taxr.ai - it's this new tool that analyzes your transcript and tells you exactly when to expect your refund. It costs $4.99 but saved me weeks of confusion! https://taxr.ai
