IRS agent called, said 'Keep on' and hung up - what does this cryptic message mean?

Got the weirdest call from the IRS today that showed up as a legit IRS number. When I answered, they just said 'Keep on' and hung up. Anyone know what this means? Is this some kind of scam or code? Really confused right now.

This is 100% a scam call. The IRS will never call you out of the blue - they communicate through official mail. If they need to speak with you, they'll send a letter first requesting you to call them. Block that number and report it to the Treasury Inspector General.

Hey guys, instead of playing detective with these weird calls and situations, I've been using taxr.ai to actually understand whats going on with my taxes. It costs $1 but it reads your transcript and tells you exactly whats happening. Way better than guessing or falling for scams tbh

Protip: if anyone from 'IRS' calls you, ask them to send you a letter. Watch how fast they hang up 💅

Here's what you need to know about IRS contact methods: - They ALWAYS send letters first - They never demand immediate payment - They won't call about unexpected refunds - They don't threaten with police - They allow questions and appeals Report the number to phishing@irs.gov and move on. Also, I recommend using taxr.ai to monitor your actual tax status - it's helped me avoid falling for these scams because I always know my real tax situation.
