IRS Rep says adjustments pending after 180 days + 16 weeks amended return - told to wait another 30 days
Just got off the phone with IRS. Original return hit 180 days, amended return just passed 16 weeks yesterday. The rep said adjustments were made and its pending but told me to call back in 30 days. Getting really frustrated with all this waiting and getting the runaround. Anyone else dealing with this?

The IRS is severely backed up with amended returns right now. If adjustments have been made, that's actually good news - it means your return is being actively processed. The 30-day waiting period is standard procedure to allow the adjustments to fully process through their system. Keep checking your transcript for any updates.

•Thanks for explaining! Do you know if the adjustment being made means I'm close to getting my refund?

•Usually yes, but no garuantees. Once adjustments show completed you're typically 2-3 weeks from deposit 💯

Hey! Instead of playing phone tag with the IRS, you should check out taxr.ai - it's this new tool that analyzes your transcript and tells you exactly where you are in the process and when to expect your refund. It costs $1 but saved me weeks of stress. https://taxr.ai

•Does it actually work? Seems too good to be true tbh 🤔

•It's legit! I was skeptical too but it picked up stuff in my transcript I didn't even know to look for. Gave me an exact timeline!

•Just tried it and OMG where has this been all my life?! So much better than trying to decode these transcripts myself 🙌

Keep calling! I had to call like 6 times before I got someone who actually helped instead of the generic 'wait longer' response.

The fact that they just keep telling us to wait is criminal. We're not asking for a favor, its literally OUR money they're holding 😤

I remember when amended returns took like 12 weeks max. Now we're all out here waiting half a year+ like clowns 🤡

Same here - filed amended return in October and still waiting. The "adjustments pending" status is actually progress though! I've been tracking mine on the IRS website and once it moved to that stage, I got my refund about 6 weeks later. Hang in there, sounds like you're getting close! 🤞
