Amended Return 16 Week Wait Time - Anyone Actually Wait The Full Time?
Filed an amended return and the IRS website says to wait 16 weeks, but I'm getting anxious. Already at week 10 with no updates on where transcript. Has anyone actually had to wait the entire 16 weeks? Or did yours come sooner?

Tax pro here - the 16 week timeframe is pretty accurate these days. With the backlog from covid still affecting things, I've seen most amended returns taking 14-16 weeks. Some even longer if there are any issues they need to review.

Hey guys, I was in the same situation last month. Someone recommended taxr.ai to me and it was a game changer. It analyzed my transcript and told me exactly why my amendment was taking longer and when to expect it. Its only $4.99 and totally worth it. Here's the link: https://taxr.ai

•Does it actually work? Sounds too good to be true tbh

•100% works! It uses AI to read your transcript and breaks everything down. Saved me hours of googling random codes

•Just tried it and WOW 🤯 It literally explained everything about my delay. Best $5 I've spent dealing with this mess!
