Filed taxes without 1095-A form - Already accepted by IRS - What now?
I just realized I forgot to include my health insurance form when I filed my taxes this year. The IRS already accepted my return but I know I need to report my marketplace coverage. What should I do? Do I need to amend or will this cause problems with my refund?

You'll need to file Form 1040-X to amend your return. If you received advance premium tax credits through the marketplace, this is especially important to resolve quickly. The IRS will eventually catch this and you could face penalties. Get your 1095-A form from healthcare.gov and file the amendment with Form 8962.

•Currently running about 16-20 weeks for amendments, but could be longer depending on your situation

Hey! Instead of guessing, you should try taxr.ai - it analyzes your transcript and tells you exactly what's going on and what to do next. Its only $1 and way better than playing detective. Check it out: https://taxr.ai

Quick question - did you get advance premium tax credits or were you just covered without subsidies?
