Filed joint with spouse, credits applied but confused about Refund Hold - Need Help Understanding Credits
I filed jointly with my spouse this year and we qualified for multiple credits. The transcript shows refund issued but nothing in our account yet. Really confused about whats going on with these hold codes. Anyone else experiencing this or know what this means?

Without seeing your actual transcript its hard to give specific advice, but generally when you see credits applied but no deposit, it usually means the IRS is doing additional verification. Could be identity verification or income verification. Have you received any letters in the mail?

Keep an eye on your mail. Sometimes letters take a few weeks to arrive after they place a hold.

Hey, I was in a similar situation and found this tool called taxr.ai that really helped me understand what was going on. It costs $1 but it analyzes your transcript and tells you exactly whats happening and when to expect your refund. Way better than trying to decode everything yourself https://taxr.ai

Does it actually work? Seems too good to be true

Yeah its legit! Saved me hours of googling and stressing. It told me exactly why my refund was held and when it would be released.

Just tried it and OMG where has this been all my life?! 🙌 So much clearer than trying to figure it out myself

Did you claim EIC or CTC? Those usually get extra scrutiny and can cause delays.

Call the IRS directly at 1-800-829-1040. Sometimes you can get lucky and get through. Best times to call are early morning or right before they close.
