My amended return finally shows completed on my transcript! Been waiting forever for this moment but now im confused about next steps. Anyone know how long until I actually see the money? Do they mail a check or direct deposit? The waiting game is killing me 😩

Tax pro here - once your amended return shows as completed, you're typically looking at 2-3 weeks for the refund to be issued. They usually send amended refunds as checks through mail, not direct deposit. Keep checking your transcript for an 846 code which means refund issued.
