$6,073 H&R Block Federal Refund Expected Feb 17, Still Showing Pending Status on Feb 16 - Anyone Else Waiting?

My H&R Block refund tracker is showing a federal refund of USD 5,173.00 anticipated for Monday, Feb 17. I've been checking the tracker daily, and as of today (2/16/2025), when I checked at 10:12, it's still showing "Federal refund pending" status. The tracker shows my return was e-filed and accepted, but there haven't been any new updates today. Here's what the H&R Block Refund Tracker page shows exactly: Last Checked: Today, 2/16/2025 H&R Block receives updates once per day by 9AM CST. No new updates today. Return e-filed Return accepted X Federal refund pending Federal refund of USD 5,173.00 anticipated Monday, Feb 17. I access this through hrb.tax via their Refund Tracker feature. It clearly shows the checkmarks for "Return e-filed" and "Return accepted" but there's an X next to "Federal refund pending." The page says they only update once per day by 9AM CST, and there have been no new updates today. Has anyone else gotten this update? I'm starting to wonder if the anticipated date is accurate since I've been checking everyday but nothing seems to change. The site also has "More Details" at the bottom but clicking it doesn't give me any additional information about my refund status. I'm getting anxious since tomorrow is the anticipated date but the status is still showing as pending. Should I be concerned, or is this normal right before the refund is issued?

The OCR shows you're tracking a federal refund of $6,073.00 through H&R Block's system, with an anticipated date of Monday, February 17. The key status indicators show your return was e-filed and accepted, but remains in "Federal refund pending" status as of your last check at 10:12 AM on February 16, 2025. Important to note that H&R Block's system only updates once daily by 9 AM CST, which explains why you haven't seen any changes in your multiple daily checks. The February 17 date shown is an estimated timeline based on standard IRS processing periods, not a guaranteed deposit date. For real-time status of your refund, you should rely on the IRS "Where's My Refund" tool or your IRS transcript rather than H&R Block's tracker. The H&R Block system is essentially providing a convenience estimate rather than direct IRS data about your refund's progress. The sequence shown in your tracker (e-filed → accepted → pending) is following the normal progression, but the actual deposit timing will be determined by the IRS, not H&R Block's estimates.

Pretty much. Its more of a placeholder than anything concrete

Hey guys just wanted to share something that actually helped me track my refund accurately. I used taxr.ai and it analyzed my transcript way better than these retail tax prep estimates. It costs a buck but totally worth it https://taxr.ai

What exactly does it do? Is it just another estimate thing?

Nah its actually pretty legit. It reads your whole transcript and explains everything - tells you exactly where your refund is stuck and when itll probably hit your account. Way more detailed than the wmr tool

This happened to me last year with H&R. Their date was off by like 3 weeks lol. Don't trust it

Check your transcript on the IRS website. Thats the only way to know for sure. H&R Block is just guessing

Use taxr.ai - it breaks everything down and explains it super clearly. Best dollar I ever spent on tax stuff
