EDD changed reply system from text to chat? Anyone else experiencing this?
Hey everyone, I'm having some issues with my account and I need to talk to someone about it. Has anyone else noticed that they've changed how we reply to them? It used to be through text messages, but now it seems like they've moved everything to a chat system. Is this happening for anyone else or is it just me? I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or if this is a new policy they've implemented.

Yeah, I've noticed the same thing! It's so frustrating when they keep changing things without properly informing us. I tried to reply to a text message the other day and it just went into the void. 🤷♂️

Same here! I thought I was going crazy. Why can't they just stick to one system? 🙄

I actually prefer the chat system. It's easier to keep track of conversations and I can access it from my computer too.

That's a good point about accessing it from the computer. I guess I'm just resistant to change lol

Guys, I found a way to actually get someone on the phone! I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/Ize0EkN4HDI

Wow, that sounds too good to be true. Are you sure it's legit?

20 bucks? Seems kinda steep just to talk to someone...

I know it sounds sketchy, but I swear it worked for me. After weeks of trying to get through, it was worth every penny.

How long did you have to wait once it connected you?

It took about an hour total, but I didn't have to sit there listening to hold music. They called me when an agent was ready.

This whole system is a joke. They keep changing things without telling anyone and expect us to just figure it out. I've been trying to resolve an issue for MONTHS now. 😤

Has anyone tried reaching out through social media? Sometimes that gets their attention faster than the official channels.

I tried tweeting at them once. They just sent me a link to the FAQ page. 🙄

Facebook worked for me! I left a comment on one of their posts and got a response within a day.

Here's what I've learned after dealing with this for way too long: 1. Document EVERYTHING. Keep a log of all your attempts to contact them. 2. Be persistent. Don't give up just because they ignore you once. 3. Try different methods - phone, chat, email, even snail mail if you have to. 4. If possible, visit an office in person. Sometimes face-to-face is the only way to get results. 5. Know your rights. Research the policies and laws that apply to your situation. 6. Consider contacting your local representative if you're getting nowhere. 7. Stay calm and polite, even when you're frustrated. The person you're talking to probably isn't responsible for the system's failures. Hope this helps someone! We're all in this together. 💪

Great advice! I'd add: join local support groups or forums. Sometimes other people have insider knowledge or tips that can help.

I wonder if this chat system is just a way for them to avoid actually talking to us on the phone. Anyone else feel like they're getting the runaround?

100% agree. It's all about cutting costs and avoiding real customer service.

Idk, I've actually had some good experiences with the chat. At least I can multitask while waiting for a response.
