EDD PFL payment status '03F' - one payment missing, weird issue date. Help!
Hey everyone, I'm having an issue with my Paid Family Leave payments. My EDD profile shows I have one more payment due, but it hasn't been delivered yet. The status shows as '03F' and the issued date is listed as 11/27/24, which is weird because I already received my third payment on that date. Anyone else dealing with this or know what's going on?

Ugh, the EDD system is such a mess. I've been dealing with similar issues for months now. Have you tried calling them? It's a nightmare to get through, but sometimes it's the only way to get answers.

I've tried calling so many times, but I always get stuck on hold forever. It's so frustrating!

Pro tip: call right when they open. I usually have better luck getting through that way.

The '03F' status usually means there's some kind of issue with your claim. It could be anything from identity verification to a discrepancy in your reported wages. You definitely need to talk to someone at EDD to get it sorted out.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone! I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

Sounds too good to be true. Does it really work?

Yeah, it actually does! I was skeptical at first too, but I was desperate. It saved me hours of frustration.

$20 just to talk to someone? That's ridiculous. The system is so broken 🤦♂️

I get it, but for me, it was worth it. Time is money, and I was wasting so much time trying to get through on my own.

That 11/27/24 date is definitely weird. Sounds like a glitch in their system. I'd screenshot everything just in case you need to prove anything later.

Good idea, thanks! I'll do that right away.

Have you checked your bank account to make sure the payment didn't go through without updating on the EDD site? Sometimes their system lags behind.

Yeah, I double-checked my bank account. No new deposits from EDD unfortunately 😕

I had a similar issue last year. Turns out they needed additional documentation from me, but never notified me. It's worth checking if there are any outstanding tasks or messages in your EDD inbox.

This is why I always tell people to keep a detailed log of all their EDD interactions. Dates, times, who you talked to, what they said. It's a pain, but it can save your butt when things go wrong.

100% this ☝️ I learned the hard way. Now I have a whole spreadsheet dedicated to tracking my EDD stuff.

Have you tried reaching out to your local assembly member's office? They often have liaisons who can help with EDD issues. It's like having a secret backdoor to get things done.

I hadn't thought of that! How do I find my assembly member?

Just google '[your city] assembly member'. Their office should have a way to submit casework requests. Good luck!

Oof, sounds like you're in quite the pickle there, buddy. EDD's about as reliable as a chocolate teapot these days. Hang in there! 🍫☕
