SDI Claim Delay: No payments for 3 weeks after submitting forms. Help!
Hey everyone, I'm having some issues with my disability claim. I submitted the required forms a few weeks ago but haven't received any payments for about 3 weeks now. Has anyone else experienced delays like this? Any advice on how to speed up the process or what I should do next?

Ugh, I feel your pain. The disability system is such a mess right now. I've been waiting for over a month for my payments to start. It's so frustrating!

A month?! That's ridiculous. Have you tried calling them? I heard sometimes that can help speed things up.

I've tried calling but I can never get through. It's like their phone lines are always busy or something. š¤

Pro tip: call right when they open. I got through after only 30 minutes on hold that way!

I actually found a way to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Wow, that sounds too good to be true. Does it really work? How long did you have to wait?

It really does work! I was skeptical at first too, but I got through in about 2 hours. Way better than spending all day trying to call myself.

Idk man, paying to get through to a government agency seems kinda sketchy. Shouldn't this service be free?

I get where you're coming from, but for me, it was worth the $20 to not have to deal with the frustration of calling over and over. Time is money, ya know? š¤·āāļø

Here's what I've learned from my experience: ā¢ Double-check that you filled out all forms correctly. Even small errors can cause delays. ā¢ Keep copies of everything you submit. ā¢ If you can, submit forms online rather than by mail. It's usually faster. ā¢ Check your claim status online regularly. ā¢ If it's been more than 3 weeks, definitely try to contact them. ā¢ Be persistent! Sometimes you have to be a squeaky wheel to get things moving. Hang in there, OP. The system is slow, but it does work eventually.

Oof, 3 weeks without payment is rough. Make sure you're budgeting carefully. I had to dip into my savings when my claim was delayed. Stay strong, OP! šŖ

I heard theres a new law that's supposed to speed up the process. Anyone know if that's actually made a difference?

I think that law doesn't go into effect until next year. Typical government efficiency š

Actually, parts of it are already in effect. But from what I've seen, it hasn't made much difference yet. Maybe it'll improve over time?
