Can I still print and mail FAFSA signature page? Can't find the option online
I've been trying to submit my 2025-2026 FAFSA for the past few days, but I'm having issues with the electronic signature part. My dad doesn't have a FSA ID and isn't tech-savvy at all. I remember in previous years there was an option to print the signature page and mail it in, but I can't find that anywhere in the new FAFSA system. Has anyone managed to find the print option on the redesigned site? I've clicked through every tab and menu I can find. My school's priority deadline is coming up next month and I'm getting really worried!

Yes, you can still print and mail a signature page! It's just hidden in the new system. After you complete all your information sections, go to the "Review & Submit" page. At the bottom after you review everything, there should be a small link that says "Alternative Signature Options" or something similar. Click that and you'll see the print option. They've really buried it deep in the new system.

•Thank you so much! I'll check for that link when I get home tonight. I was afraid they completely removed the paper option with the redesign.

my daughter had same issue last week, we ended up just making an fsa id for her dad instead of mailing stuff in. took like 10 min and was way easier

•My dad is really skeptical about creating accounts online... but maybe I'll try to convince him if I can't find the print option. Did your husband need his email for the FSA ID setup?

The signature page option still exists, but it's been significantly de-emphasized in the 2025-2026 FAFSA. Here's the exact path: 1. Complete all sections of your FAFSA application 2. On the submission page where it asks for FSA ID signatures 3. Look for "Need another way to sign?" text (it's in small font near the bottom) 4. Select "Print Signature Page" 5. You'll get a PDF to print After printing, your parent needs to physically sign it, and you must mail it to the Federal Student Aid office at the address provided on the form. Important: Your FAFSA will remain incomplete until they process the paper signature, which can take 7-10 business days. With your deadline approaching, I strongly recommend trying to help your father create an FSA ID instead - it will process instantly.

•Thank you for the detailed instructions! That's exactly what I needed. I'll definitely reconsider helping my dad make an FSA ID given the processing time for mailed signatures. The priority deadline is March 15th so that doesn't leave much wiggle room.

when i filled out my fafsa last month i couldn't find the signature page either. ended up calling the fafsa helpline and waited for like TWO HOURS only to get disconnected right when someone picked up. so frustrating!!! the whole new system is awful tbh

•I had the same frustrating experience trying to reach someone at Federal Student Aid about a verification issue. After getting disconnected twice, I tried using Claimyr (claimyr.com) and actually got through to a real person in about 15 minutes. They have this system that holds your place in line and calls you back when an agent is ready. Saved me hours of waiting. There's a video showing how it works here: https://youtu.be/TbC8dZQWYNQ - might be worth checking out if you need to call again.

The redesigned FAFSA has been a NIGHTMARE!!! 😡 They completely changed everything without proper instructions. My daughter couldn't find half the options that used to be there. And don't even get me started on the contributor section - my ex-husband couldn't figure it out AT ALL and we missed our school's priority deadline. Now my daughter might miss out on thousands in institutional aid because of their terrible system overhaul. If your dad isn't tech-savvy, DEFINITELY print the signature page rather than frustrating him with the FSA ID process. The ID creation has all these verification steps that can be really confusing.

•Actually the FSA ID process isn't that bad. My grandpa who never uses computers managed to do it with a little help. Just need their SSN, email and phone number. The verification code part trips people up sometimes but it's pretty straightforward if you help them through it.

Just as an update for anyone reading this thread later - I confirmed today that for the 2025-2026 FAFSA, you can also request a signature page by calling 1-800-433-3243. The agent can mail you a signature page directly if you're having trouble printing it from the website. This might be easier for some people than navigating through all the new website options.

•That's super helpful! I managed to find the print option using the instructions above, but it's good to know there's a backup option by phone. I'm going to have my dad sign it tonight and mail it tomorrow. Fingers crossed it processes in time!

Just wondering - does your dad have to be a contributor for your FAFSA? If you live with just your mom or are considered independent, you might not need his signature at all. Might save you some hassle with the whole paper signature thing.

•I live with both parents, and they're still married, so yeah, unfortunately both need to provide information and sign. I was hoping to qualify as independent but I'm only 19 and don't meet any of the special circumstances criteria.

Hey Javier! I just went through this exact same situation with my stepdad last month. One tip that really helped us with the FSA ID creation - we did it together on a video call so I could walk him through each step in real time. That way he felt more comfortable with the process and didn't get stuck on the verification codes. If you do decide to go the paper route though, make sure to send it certified mail so you have tracking. The processing times can be unpredictable and you'll want proof it was delivered on time for your March deadline. Good luck!
