I used that Claimyr service someone mentioned earlier and they were able to tell me exactly what stage my claim was in. Turns out Washington ESD was waiting for some paperwork from my employer that I didn't even know about. Worth the cost to finally get answers.
Just remember that unemployment is insurance you and your employers have been paying into. Don't feel bad about using it if you need it - that's what it's there for!
For anyone else reading this thread - if you're worried about eligibility, you can always file a claim and let Washington ESD make the determination. There's no penalty for filing if you don't qualify, they'll just deny the claim.
One more plug for Claimyr - if you do file and have questions about your claim status or need clarification on next steps, being able to actually talk to someone at Washington ESD instead of playing phone tag for weeks is invaluable. The peace of mind alone is worth it.
Bottom line - you CAN get unemployment after quitting but you need a really strong case with lots of documentation. Start gathering evidence now even if you haven't decided to quit yet.
Thank you everyone for all the advice! This has been incredibly helpful. I'm going to start documenting everything and see if I can resolve things through proper channels first.
One last tip: if you do end up filing for unemployment, apply as soon as possible after your last day of work. Benefits are effective from the Sunday of the week you file, so don't wait around.

Overall the system works but it's definitely bureaucratic and can be slow. Just be patient, follow all the rules, and keep detailed records of everything. Most people get through the process fine once they understand how it works.

One last thing - if you disagree with any decision Washington ESD makes about your claim, you have the right to appeal. Don't just accept it if you think they made a mistake. The appeals process exists for a reason.

•How long do you have to file an appeal?

•Usually 30 days from the date of the decision. Don't wait - file as soon as possible if you want to appeal.
