I'm so sorry you're dealing with this nightmare! I had a similar experience with WA ESD PFML and it took forever to resolve. One thing that really helped me was filing a complaint with the Washington State Auditor's Office - they have a fraud reporting hotline but they also handle complaints about state agency inefficiencies. The number is 1-866-902-3900. When I called them about my delayed payments, they actually reached out to ESD on my behalf and things started moving within a week. Also, make sure you're logging into your SecureAccess Washington account regularly to check for any action items or document requests - sometimes they'll approve extensions but only if you respond to requests buried in there. The whole system is absolutely broken and you shouldn't have to be doing detective work just to get your rightful benefits, but unfortunately that's where we are. Hang in there and keep fighting! 💪

They handle workplace rights issues and can sometimes provide guidance on PFML problems or connect you with the right people. Also, if you haven't already, try logging into your ESD account and look for a "Request Callback" option - sometimes that works better than calling directly. I know it's incredibly frustrating having to chase down your own benefits, especially when you're dealing with health issues. Quick question - how long ago did you file these incorrect claims? There might be a time limit on how far back you can make corrections.

I went through something similar a few months back! If you can't get through by phone, try logging into your account super early in the morning (like 6 AM) when the system is less busy. Sometimes the online portal will let you submit a "Request for Reconsideration" or "Claim Correction" form. Also, document everything - take screenshots of your current claim status and write down exactly which weeks need to be changed. This will help when you finally do get through to someone. The wait is frustrating but they will fix it once you reach the right person!
