When Will My $101 Refund Arrive? Transcript Shows Code 846 "Refund Issued" 02-13-2025 But Nothing Received Yet

Looking at my transcript and I'm really confused about all these different dates showing up. I see my detailed IRS transcript showing: ``` TRANSACTIONS CODE EXPLANATION OF TRANSACTION CYCLE DATE AMOUNT 150 Tax return filed 20250605 02-24-2025 30211-424-16849-5 806 W-2 or 1099 withholding 04-16-2025 -$101 846 Refund issued 02-13-2025 $101 This Product Contains Sensitive Taxpayer Data ``` I don't understand what all these different codes and dates mean. I see code 150 "Tax return filed" dated 02-24-2025 with cycle number 20250605, then code 806 "W-2 or 1099 withholding" from 04-16-2025 showing -$101, and code 846 "Refund issued" from 02-13-2025 showing $101. Why is there a withholding entry dated in April when my tax return was filed in February? And the transcript shows the refund was already issued on 02-13, but I haven't received anything yet. Does the cycle number 20250605 mean anything regarding when I'll actually get my refund? That ID number 30211-424-16849-5 appears right under my tax return filing info - is that something I need for reference if I call the IRS? Anyone know which of these dates actually indicates when I'll get my refund? Really confused about why there's a date in April when some of these other dates are from February.

The transcript shows three key transaction codes that tell the story of your tax return processing. Code 846 dated 02-12-2025 with a $1 amount is your refund issue date - this is the most important date as it indicates when the IRS actually sent your refund. The cycle code 20250605 and ID number 30211-424-16849-5 are internal IRS tracking numbers for your return. The 04-15-2025 date you see with code 806 (withholding credits) is just a standard placeholder date the IRS uses - it's always set to the tax year's due date and doesn't affect your refund timing. The code 150 date of 02-24-2025 simply shows when your return was posted to the IRS system. Since your refund code 846 is dated 02-12-2025, you should have already received your $1 refund. The February dates (02-12 and 02-24) are your actual processing dates, while the April date can be ignored for refund timing purposes.

Yes, 846 is specifically the refund issued code. When you see that, it means the money is on its way.

Pro tip: dont even bother with the 806 date, its always april 15th. Thats just when the tax year officially ends
