Filing taxes with expired drivers license - what happens?
I just realized my drivers license expired last month and I need to file my taxes asap. Anyone know if this will cause issues with the IRS? Or if they even check? Kinda freaking out here.

Tax professional here - the IRS doesn't actually verify your DL status when processing returns. They only use it as an identity verification measure. As long as the DL number matches your identity, you're fine. Just make sure to renew it soon!

just make sure u dont use the expired DL if you need to verify identity on the irs website later. that WILL cause problems lol ask me how i know 🤡
