Finally Got My $7,812 Refund After 10-Month Freeze Code - Amended Return in March Finally Fixed It

Finally got my tax refund deposited today after waiting forever! Started to think it would never happen. For anyone still waiting - don't give up hope, it eventually comes through! I filed an amended return in March which seems to have helped get things moving again. They removed some credits initially but then I got my EIC of $4,733 and another credit of $1,600. The IRS finally removed the freeze in December and issued my refund a couple weeks later. The wait was excruciating but seeing that "846 Refund issued" code was such a relief. If your transcript shows a freeze code (810), consider filing an amended return or contacting the IRS directly. The system works eventually, just requires extreme patience!
