If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

My son had the same issue last week but it randomly fixed itself after a few days without us doing anything. Maybe just a glitch in the matrix lol

One more thing to check - make sure your FSA ID wasn't created too recently. There's a 1-3 day processing period before a new FSA ID becomes fully functional with all the systems. If you created or updated your FSA ID within the last few days, that could be contributing to the problem.

That's good to know! My FSA ID is actually pretty old (from when I did grad school), but I did recently update my address. Maybe that triggered some kind of processing delay.

Just a quick update based on what I'm seeing at my institution - many schools are now implementing "FAFSA delay forgiveness policies" for fall 2025 because this has been such a widespread issue. If your son's school hasn't announced anything like this yet, it might be worth specifically asking if they have any accommodations for students impacted by the federal FAFSA delays. Some schools are setting aside seats in high-demand courses specifically for these students.

That's fantastic news! I'll have him specifically ask about a "FAFSA delay forgiveness policy" when he contacts the department chairs. Fingers crossed his school is doing something similar.

After reading through all the comments, I think your best approach is a two-pronged strategy: 1. Have your son email department chairs with documentation of the FAFSA timeline 2. Then have him show up in person to the classes he wants during the first week Almost every school has a drop/add period, and professors have significant discretion during this time. If he's physically present and demonstrates interest and commitment, many professors will add him even if officially "full.

I think you're right about the two-pronged approach. We're drafting emails to department chairs tonight, and he'll definitely show up to those classes regardless of his official registration status. Thanks for the encouragement!

Just realized I forgot to mention - make sure both you AND your son save the challenge questions and answers somewhere safe! My son forgot his and we had to go through this whole complicated process with calling in to reset it all. The system is super strict about security now.

Good point! I'll make sure we both record that information securely.

after u get verified make sure u both check that the emails and phone #s are right in your profiles!!! they send all important stuff there and if its wrong u miss deadlines

Thank you! I'll double-check all our contact information once we're verified.

I'm a financial aid counselor (not in MD though). The Parent_IRS_EdCredit_01 error typically means there's a validation issue between what you reported for education credits and what the IRS has on file. The problem is that with the new FAFSA, many of these verification flags are triggering unnecessarily. Here's what I recommend: 1. Call MHEC first thing tomorrow 2. Have your 1040 form ready (specifically looking at line 29) 3. Request an expedited review due to approaching payment deadlines 4. Ask if they need the correction from FSA or if they'll accept direct documentation 5. If they require FSA correction, ask for the specific steps they recommend Many schools are being flexible this year due to the FAFSA delays and verification issues. Have your son check with his school's financial aid office about possibly extending payment deadlines while this gets resolved.

This is incredibly helpful, thank you! I have my tax forms ready to go and will follow these exact steps. My son has already emailed his financial aid office at school to let them know about the situation too. Fingers crossed this gets resolved quickly!

btw one more thing... when my brother had this problem we finally got through to someone who explained that for Maryland scholarships specifically, if the FAFSA correction takes too long, you can request an emergency review. you need to ask for this specifically though, they won't offer it unless you know to ask!

0 coins

Oh that's a great tip! I'll definitely ask about an emergency review when I call. Fall classes start in just over a month so we really need to get this resolved. Thanks for the insider info!

my cousin works in financial aid and she told me they're reprocessing like a million fafsa applications this year because they completely messed up the formula for calculating aid when they switched to the new system lol. classic government incompetence

0 coins

It's WORSE than just incompetence - they had THREE YEARS to prepare for this new formula and still botched it completely!! And now our kids are paying the price with delayed aid and missed scholarship opportunities. My daughter is literally having to choose colleges without knowing what they'll cost. It's beyond ridiculous!

Just a quick tip for everyone dealing with FAFSA reprocessing: make sure all your schools have your correct FAFSA ID number on file. If they're looking for an old ID number, they might not see when your reprocessing is complete. Also, create a simple spreadsheet to track which schools you've notified about the reprocessing situation. Some schools will automatically receive the updated information, but others need to be manually prompted to pull your new FAFSA data once reprocessing is complete.

0 coins

Thank you, this is excellent advice! I wouldn't have thought about the ID number issue. I'll call each school tomorrow and verify they have the correct information. Would you recommend emailing or calling the financial aid offices when the reprocessing is complete?
