W2 Issues: IRS claims they never got faxed W2, employer not reporting income - stuck in refund limbo
So frustrating - I faxed my W2 to the IRS but they say they never received it. My employer still hasnt reported my income even after I've been calling HR every single day. Getting desperate here - its been months and I really need my refund. Anyone dealt with this before or know how to get this moving?

Tax pro here. You need to get a wage and income transcript from the IRS to confirm what they have on file. If your employer hasn't reported it, you might need to file Form 4852 (substitute W-2). Also keep proof of your fax transmission for your records.

You can request it online through irs.gov/transcripts or call 800-908-9946. If website gives you trouble, try early morning or late night when traffic is lower.

hey there! have you tried using taxr.ai? It saved me so much headache with a similar situation. It costs $4.99 but it analyzes your transcript and tells you exactly what's missing and what to do next. Way better than playing detective with the IRS website lol https://taxr.ai

Is it legit? Sounds interesting but kinda scared to try new tax tools 🤔

totally legit! it showed me exactly why my refund was held up and what documents I needed. saved me like 3 months of back and forth with IRS

OMG just tried it - this is actually amazing! It showed me everything wrong with my account in like 2 minutes. Why isn't everyone using this?? 💯

Your HR dept sounds useless af. Ask to speak to their supervisor or go straight to payroll department
