Oh ok. But that shouldn’t stop anything because lots of people don’t have Cali ids but live here. You should get in touch with an assembly member.

One told me I filed for unemployment in another state and that I couldn’t backdate because my my last day of work was October 2 of this year. And the other one told me that I can backdate but my account is under review so he can’t put in the request. So anyway, they’re going to send a link supposedly so that I can verify my identity because that is the only issue that they see. Another rep told me that my backdate isn’t going through because I have to verify my identity first.

They did the same thing to me too! Then they removed the identity tab and said I need to appeal and then a week later I gotta email stating that I was ready to certify. I just finished certifying today officially and now I’m wondering how long it will for them to process the funds. Smh I’m kind of nervous to even call bc there has been so much back and forth and Miss information I was given even when I used claim yr to call them

No u got some tier 1 that can. Mine was done by tier 1 rep

It wasn’t locked that I know of but I called and asked to do a western union and they wanted to verify me and they couldn’t do it over the phone cause they said something about my info didn’t match the public records. I went ahead and verified anyhow though because I felt like it would’ve been a problem with my edd because of that. I haven’t received my card yet.

It wasn’t locked that I know of but I called and asked to do a western union and they wanted to verify me and they couldn’t do it over the phone cause they said something about my info didn’t match the public records. I just got off the phone with calling through claimyr to backdate my account and the lady said California edd has not approved backdates for over a week now? Has anybody heard this as well? I'm so worried I won't be able to get my complete claim I'm owed 😞 any suggestions?

The claim is for 37800. I won’t get all of it anyway if I’m only able to backdate it to January right? That 37800 is for 86 weeks I think.

Called to get backdated Wednesday and got a very nice rep who put my request in to get backdated to 03/07/2021. Yesterday my weeks popped up as I finished certifying each week it was already switching to paid. 12am this morning half the weeks was on my card. Good luck everyone

What did you tell them Your reason was for you needing to be backdated or do they even ask ?

The last couple of times that I called I asked to just be transferred to a tier 2 rep. One person automatically did it and the other just verified my info and then transferred me.

Requesting a backdate shouldn't hurt your chances at getting your card. That's separate with BOA EDD. I remember we were waiting for my husband card to come in while we were calling EDD to get some claims fixed.
