If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.
Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service
An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.
Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!
I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!
Hey Skylar! I'm a junior at BU and went through something very similar my freshman year - missed the CSS Profile by about a week and was absolutely panicking. Here's what worked for me:
When you call tomorrow, ask specifically about their "extenuating circumstances" review. BU has a separate process for students who missed deadlines due to things like missed notifications, family emergencies, etc. They don't publicize it much, but it exists!
Also, make sure to emphasize that you completed FAFSA on time - that shows you were trying to meet financial aid requirements and just had a communication mishap with the CSS Profile.
If they can't do a late CSS submission, ask about:
- Institutional need-based grants (separate from CSS Profile requirements)
- Work-study opportunities
- Payment plan options to make tuition more manageable
The financial aid counselors I worked with were genuinely helpful and wanted to find solutions. Don't be discouraged if the first person you talk to can't help immediately - sometimes it takes a couple calls to get to the right person who knows about all the available options.
You've got this! BU has a lot more flexibility than their published deadlines suggest. Keep us updated on how it goes! 🤞
@Sofia Gomez This is incredibly helpful and reassuring! As someone who s'also navigating this CSS Profile mess, I really appreciate you breaking down the specific things to ask about - especially the extenuating "circumstances review" and the institutional need-based grants. It s'such a relief to hear from multiple current BU students that the financial aid office is actually understanding about these situations. Your point about emphasizing that I completed FAFSA on time is really smart - shows I was being responsible and this was just a communication issue. Thank you for giving such detailed advice and for the encouragement! 🙏
Hey Skylar! I'm actually a current BU student who works part-time in the financial aid office (can't give too many details obviously), but I wanted to give you some insider perspective that might help calm your nerves a bit.
First off - you're definitely not the first person this has happened to, and sadly won't be the last. We see this situation pretty regularly, especially with CSS Profile since the notification emails sometimes end up in spam folders or get missed.
Here's what I can tell you: BU does have flexibility built into their system for exactly these situations. When you call tomorrow, be honest about what happened and ask specifically about their "late submission consideration" process. They can often work with students who missed the deadline due to communication issues, especially if your FAFSA was submitted on time (which shows good faith effort).
A few practical tips for your call:
- Call right at 9 AM when they open - shorter wait times and staff is fresh
- Have your BU ID, FAFSA confirmation, and CSS Profile login info ready
- Be polite but persistent - if the first person can't help, ask to speak with a senior counselor
- Ask about emergency/hardship funds even if CSS Profile options don't work out
Don't lose hope yet! The office really does try to work with students when they can. Good luck tomorrow! 🍀
@Sean Doyle This is incredibly reassuring to hear from someone who actually works in the financial aid office! Thank you so much for taking the time to share this insider perspective - it really helps to know that this situation happens regularly and that there are actual processes in place to help students like me. I m'feeling much more confident about making that call tomorrow morning now. Your practical tips are super helpful too, especially about having all my info ready and being persistent if needed. It s'amazing how supportive everyone in this community has been. I ll'definitely update everyone after I call tomorrow! 🙏
