How to cancel inaccurate PFL plan? Keep getting redirected!
I'm so frustrated with the paid family leave system. I accidentally filed an inaccurate plan and now I'm trying to cancel it. But every time I try to contact them, I keep getting redirected to the wrong department. Has anyone else dealt with this? Any advice on how to actually get through to someone who can help me cancel this plan?

Ugh, I feel your pain. The PFL system is a nightmare to navigate. Have you tried calling early in the morning? Sometimes that works better.

I've tried calling at different times, but no luck so far. It's like they're purposely making it difficult 😤

Early morning didn't work for me either. I swear they have gremlins answering the phones lol

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

Sounds too good to be true. Does it really work? 🤔

Yeah, it actually does! I was skeptical at first too, but it saved me hours of frustration.

$20 seems steep just to make a phone call. Is there no other way?

I get it, but for me, it was worth it to finally get my issue resolved. Time is money, ya know?

Have you tried faxing your request? Sometimes old school methods work better with these bureaucratic nightmares.

I had a similar issue last year. Here's what worked for me: 1. Document everything. Keep a log of all your attempts to contact them. 2. Try reaching out through their online portal if they have one. 3. If all else fails, contact your local representative. They often have channels to expedite these issues. 4. Be persistent. It sucks, but sometimes you just have to keep trying. Good luck! The system is broken, but don't give up.

Thank you so much for the detailed advice! I'll definitely try contacting my rep if I can't get through soon.

Contacting your rep is solid advice. They helped me with an EDD issue last month.

I'm in the same boat. Been trying to fix an error for weeks now. This whole system is a joke.
