EDD payment stopped since 15th last month - need advice on reaching someone
Hey everyone, I'm having trouble with my EDD payments. I haven't received anything since the 15th of last month. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm trying to get through to them but it's been impossible. Any advice on what I should do or say when I finally reach someone?

Ugh, I'm in the same boat. Haven't seen a payment in weeks. The system is so broken, it's ridiculous. 🤬

Tell me about it! I've been calling non-stop for days. It's like they don't want us to get our money.

Have you guys tried calling right when they open? I heard that's the best time to get through.

Tried that, no luck. It's always busy or I get hung up on. This is insane!

I found a method that actually works to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

I get the skepticism, but it seriously worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo.

Can you explain more about how it works? Do they garuantee you'll get through?

Basically, their system calls EDD and navigates the menu for you. When a real person picks up, it connects you. No guarantee, but it worked for me on the first try.

Here's what you need to do when you finally get through: 1. Be polite but firm. The person on the other end isn't personally responsible for your issues. 2. Have all your info ready - claim number, last payment date, etc. 3. Ask specifically why your payments have stopped. There might be a flag on your account or missing info. 4. If they can't help, ask to speak to a tier 2 specialist. 5. Get the name and ID of whoever you speak to, and take notes. 6. If they promise to fix something, ask for a timeframe and follow up. Good luck! The system sucks, but persistence pays off.

I swear EDD is run by clowns 🤡 How hard is it to just pay people what they're owed?

Clowns? That's an insult to hardworking circus professionals 😂

Has anyone heard about the new bill they're trying to pass to improve the EDD system? Might help in the future but doesn't do much for us now...

Yeah, I saw that. Too little too late if you ask me. We need help NOW.

Pro tip: if you can't get through on the main line, try calling your local assemblyperson's office. They often have direct lines to EDD and can help push things along.

This actually worked for me! Took a few days but my assemblyperson's office got things sorted.
