EDD 2525 form never received - Need email & extension. Help!
Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a pickle. I never got the 2525 form in the mail for supplemental certification. I need it sent to my personal email and the due date extended. Has anyone else dealt with this? I'm worried about getting charged extra fees if it takes a long time to sort out. Any advice?

Ugh, I feel ya. The EDD is such a mess rn. I had a similar issue last month. Have you tried calling them directly? It's a pain, but sometimes it's the only way to get things sorted.

I've been trying to call for days but no luck. It's so frustrating! 😤

Pro tip: call right when they open. I got through after only 30 mins on hold that way.

Good idea! I'll give that a shot tomorrow morning. Fingers crossed 🤞

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

Idk man, paying to get through seems sketchy. The system is broken if we gotta do that 🤔

I get the skepticism, but it seriously saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo.

Can you give more details about how it works? Do they garuantee you'll get through?

They don't guarantee it, but they keep trying until they get through. It took about 2 hours for me, but I didn't have to sit by the phone the whole time. When they got an agent, my phone rang and I was connected.

Listen up, OP. Here's what you need to do: 1. Document everything. Keep a record of all your attempts to contact EDD. 2. Send a formal request via certified mail asking for the 2525 form and an extension. 3. Reach out to your local state representative. They often have liaisons who can help with EDD issues. 4. If all else fails, file a complaint with the state ombudsman. Don't let them give you the runaround. Stay persistent and know your rights!

Wow, thank you so much for this detailed advice! I'll definitely start with the certified mail request. You're a lifesaver! 💯

This is solid advice. I'd add: join your local unemployment support group on FB. They often have insider tips.

Have you checked your spam folder? Sometimes EDD emails end up there. Also, make sure they have your correct email on file.

Good call! Just checked and it wasn't there, but I'll double-check my contact info with them.

I'm in the same boat, been waiting on that form for weeks. The whole system is a joke. Anyone else think its time for a complete overhaul?

Preach! 🙌 The EDD needs to get with the times. Why can't everything be done online?

Careful what you wish for. Remember the disaster when they tried to update the system last year? 😅

Hey OP, just a heads up - even if you get the form late, fill it out and submit it ASAP. Sometimes they're lenient if you explain the situation. Don't give up!
